About the exhibition

Reflections about the dichotomy of global and local have been since long time present in the society, literature, art and theory but we would like to make a shift from local to endemic, which has a more specific meaning in origin of any phenomenon and exposing the possibility of generic solutions in local diversity. Endemic is in this case the solution that appears from the local environment by itself. It is the solution of survival and evolution using the means available at the certain moment and communicating with the local and the global. This dual situation, global/endemic is possible to observe in many contexts. In biological for example, the ecosystems represent a diversity of interrelated species that form balance in the chain of survival. Different necessities from a prevailing species, in our case the human destroy ecosystems which results in monoculture often with disastrous effects. Similar can happen in societies in context of social and cultural distribution, economic monopoles, in art, philosophy, education, religion and politics. The most interesting is the proposal to investigate in every area of knowledge the necessities of the equilibrium and coexistence between global and local, between generic and emergent, between general characteristics of a system and the phenomena of self-organizing.

Nell’ambito della mostra L’ORDINE DEL TEMPO, sarà aperto un immaginifico ‘Portale spazio-temporale’ con la mostra ENDEMIC VERSUS GLOBAL di Città del Messico che si tiene presso il Centro de Ciencias de la Complejidad C3 – UNAM a cura dell’artista messicano Manolo Cocho e di Vasja Nagy (Slovenia), Josip Zanki (Croazia), Maja Flajsig (Croazia), consulente scientifico Dr. Alfonso Valiente, con la partecipazione di 54 artisti internazionali.
L’idea è quella di creare un contatto “spazio-temporale” tra “luoghi endemici e globali”, per tale ragione saranno riprodotte presso la piccola località di Visogliano, in piccolo formato, quale anteprima, le medesime grandi immagini che saranno presenti nell’importante esposizione di Città del Messico.
